Dog & House sitter required in Kingston upon Thames - July '24

About this assignment

I would like to find someone honest, reliable and respectful of our home who loves dogs and will take good care of my small Jack Russell Terrier, Poppy.
Walk her twice a day, give her lots of love and play with her.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Poppy is a 3 1/2 year old Jack Russell Terrier. She is small (5kg), independent and loves to walk and play.
She loves company and tends to follow you around the house (I should have called her FOMO!)
She needs walking twice a day (morning & teatime) for an hour or so on each walk.
Water the garden pots.

What are the good features of the property and location

My house is a 3 bedroom semi detached (the small bedroom is a study), with a small garden in a residential area of Kingston upon Thames.
There are 2 recreation parks within 2 mins & 10 mins respectively.
There are 3 beautiful Royal Parks locally. Bushey and Home park are 25 mins walk, with Richmond park 35 mins walk away. And of course, there are walks either way along the river Thames.

The town centre is 15 mins walk with loads of places to eat and drink. The town centre includes the usual high street shops plus a large John Lewis department store and the Bentalls shopping Centre.
The Ancient Market is daily and has a range of market stalls, including a florist, fishmonger and greengrocers, an artisan bakery, and vibrant street food stalls.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Enjoy being with dogs and giving lots of love and cuddles.
Happy to have Poppy sleep with them - she like to sleep in the small of your back or in touching distance, although if it’s hot, she tends to sleep on the corners of the bed.
Need to like walking - Poppy needs at least 2 hours a day.
Need to be trustworthy and reliable.

Can I bring my own pets?
