About this assignment
Friendly, outgoing and caring dog and animal enthusiasts. Large house so a couple would be preferable. Ideally no children please. Experience with looking after dogs and other animals (cat) would be welcome.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Walking, playing and feeding a gorgeous 10 year old labradoodle dog (Raffa).
Feeding and (sorry) cleaning litter tray of elderly but affectionate brindle tabby cat (CoCo).
General house sitting duties.
What are the good features of the property and location
Beautiful large victorian house with sunny garden and with easy access to a local train station, the coast, South Downs and Chichester.
We have access to fantastic local country side with several stately homes also within easy reach.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Access to a car will be essential as we always walk Raffa every day in the local countryside and woods. This is our preferred approach as Raffa is nervous of other dogs, particularly large males. Walking in the countryside permits us to more easily anticipate and management other dog encounters than using local town paths and parks.

A wonderful location and ideal family.
Andrew and Amanda were welcoming and hospitable on my arrival and treated me very well throughout my stay. Their two pets are delightful and each real characters, lovable, loyal and well behaved. Raffa the labradoodle followed me everywhere and was hard to say “au revoir” to. I really hope to return as this was an excellent experience which proved very worthwhile and enjoyable. The local countryside is scenic and there is much of historic interest in Portsmouth and Chichester. All in all, despite some unexpected and unavoidable plumbing work that no one could have foreseen, this was one of the best sits I have had in ten years. The rear garden is an absolute paradise to share with the animals and to top off everything the weather was perfect throughout. Highly recommended ( but only if I am unavailable to return myself!) 😅 Thank you for everything, including the cake and gift, the Hoyle family!
