About this assignment
Someone responsible, non-smoker, who loves animals. We have a beautiful home in great neighborhood and are very close to downtown Savannah. Easy to walk or take bus or uber (might be able to leave a car to use as well)!
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Hanging with the animals and feeding them twice a day. Maybe taking some walks and enjoying their company. Locking doors at night and bringing in mail
What are the good features of the property and location
Great location near many restaurants---beautiful screened-in porch and back yard. Fantastic city with lots to do. Beautiful trees and squares and cultural arts nearby. There is a nice beach about 20 minutes away and weather is usually beautiful at this time
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
We are not completely moved in so there are still some boxes around, but you will have your own bedroom and bathroom and the downstairs is cleared out. There is also a grand piano here if you want to play!

A Fantastic Opportunity
My two housesits in Savannah for Daniel and Kisha were among the best I’ve had. The pets kept things lively. I enjoyed morning and evening walks with the oh-so-cute Cocoa in neighborhoods drenched in Spanish moss. The irrepressible Mushroom and Oyster were always up for treats and some lap time. Their spacious and comfortable home is a classic, located in a friendly, historic neighborhood. It made an excellent base for explorations of Savannah, with historic sites and several restaurants nearby. I also enjoyed the beach and lighthouse at Tybee Island, which were just a short drive away. Daniel generously helped me arrange travel and logistics before and between the stays. Kisha welcomed me to their home and shared all the details for running the house and caring for the pets. She also provided a much-appreciated lift to the airport for my early morning flight home. They both kept in close contact, quickly answering any questions. They also connected me with local friends and neighbors, adding greatly to the richness of my stay. My experience was topped off when they treated me to a delicious family dinner at one of the city’s top-rated restaurants. This is a fantastic housesitting opportunity.

New Year in Savannah
I loved taking care of the animals. I am missing them a lot. The neighborhood is great for nice walks with the dogs. We went to a park nearby and played. I really enjoyed cuddling with the cats and dogs. I had a lovely time. Savannah was also really nice, and I could visit a lot. The animals are very friendly and affectionate. I met Kisha before she left, and she showed me everything. Dan gave me some good suggestions about what to do in Savannah. They were very accommodating. I enjoyed my time there and would love to take care of Cocoa, Pebbles, Mushroom, and Oyster again.

Enjoyable sit!
I miss Cocoa and Pebbles already! I enjoyed the pups' company as well as Mushroom and Oyster's company. They are all adorable. Before leaving, Daniel gave me a tour of Savannah, and suggested some great things to do while I was there. The neighborhood is very walkable with Cocoa and Pebbles. Kisha and Daniel are welcoming and friendly hosts, so I felt comfortable from the start. I would gladly and gratefully take care of their home and fur babies again.
