About this assignment

I'm looking for a true cat lover to take care of my babies while I am away for 6 weeks. I have a peaceful little Portuguese cottage just a couple for minutes walk from the beach, a perfect escape for writers, creators, anyone looking for some tropical energy in beautiful South Goa, here on the west coast of India.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The house sitter will be responsible for feeding my three cats (twice a day plus snacks) and generally keeping an eye on them, giving them love and attention. They are very affectionate and I need someone who will be around to reassure them that they have not been abandoned!

What are the good features of the property and location

My cottage is a lovely little 2bhk (one bedroom is currently used for storage though and won't be accessible) - it has a brand new kitchen and European bathroom installed under a year ago as well as a new washing machine and lovely decor. There is a pretty porch out front perfect for relaxing, and it's all in a shady spot under the mango and palm trees, offering respite from the heat. My lovely housekeeper Priti comes on alternate days to clean and deal with garbage, and is a wonderful asset. I have superfast 5G wifi, water filter and hot water geyser.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I will be away for 6 weeks, and while the first three will be pre-monsoon, the rain usually starts second week of June. This means that the second half of the assignment will be in the monsoon time - which is a BEAUTIFUL, peaceful time. The porch is a beautiful spot for monsoon watching and the cottage is only a 2 minute walk from the beach so you can get outside once the morning rain stops, and go to enjoy the clearer air. As it's low season, there will be limited facilities open in the village - there are some restaurants and shops still open year round for your needs, but it is much more closed down than if you were here in the high season.
