Our dogs are a GS and GP
We’re looking for someone who truly loves animals—because ours are family! If you enjoy nature, peace and quiet, and spending time outdoors watching fireflies, hiking, or taking a scenic drive to a nearby river or lake, you’ll feel right at home here.
Our two large dogs (a Great Pyrenees and a German Shepherd) are outside dogs only. They are very friendly with people, but they do get excited when meeting new faces. So we’d love someone comfortable around big dogs who can offer them both affection and calm guidance.
Reliability, kindness, and a genuine love for animals and the outdoors are our top priorities.
Caring for our animals is the top priority! Our two dogs and three cats are fed twice a day. The dogs live in the garage and spend their days outside, so making sure they always have fresh water—especially in the hot September weather—is really important. The cats have a gravity waterer that usually lasts a while, but it may need a quick refill once during your stay.
Our chickens are pretty low-maintenance with automated food and water setups, but they do need to be let out to free-range each morning and closed in at night for safety. They love a little treat and some attention, and their water should be checked daily as well. Eggs should be collected every few days.
If you enjoy gardening, you're welcome to pick some fresh veggies from the garden—and we’d love for you to enjoy them while you're here!
If you love the outdoors, you’ll absolutely enjoy staying here! We’re located just outside of town—peaceful and quiet, with beautiful nature all around—yet only a 7-minute drive if you need to run errands or grab something in town.
The Lake of the Ozarks and several rivers are just about 25 minutes away, offering swimming, floating, boating, and fishing during the warmer months. There are also plenty of hiking trails and several beautiful state parks nearby, including Bennett Springs, Lake of the Ozarks, and Ha Ha Tonka.
Our home is cozy and family-friendly with 3 bedrooms and 2.5 baths. One bedroom has a king bed, another a queen, and the third features a bunk bed that sleeps 3—perfect for kids. The open-concept kitchen and living room are warm and welcoming, and we also have a finished basement with comfy love seats, a TV, and a jungle gym for the kids.
Outside, you’ll find even more to love: a trampoline, zip line, climbing structure, sandbox, a huge outdoor dining table, and a fire pit—a perfect setup for soaking in the peaceful surroundings, especially in the evenings. Whether you're traveling solo, as a couple, or with kids, it's a beautiful place to unwind and reconnect with nature.
We’re looking for someone reliable and responsible—our animals depend on our care, and their wellbeing is our top priority. If you're someone who genuinely enjoys being around animals and finds joy in nature and a slower pace of life, you’ll be a great fit.
This is a peaceful, rural setting, so it’s best suited for someone who appreciates quiet time, fresh air, and outdoor living. Daily routines like feeding, letting animals in and out, and checking water might be simple, but they matter a lot. A love for animals and a dependable heart go a long way here.

Visiting Missouri is a treat!
Tina and her family provided excellent accomodations, good instructions, lots of support while they were gone, and some pretty fun pets too! Be ready for some lively and large pups, but pretty good considering they were less than 2 years old at the time. Chickens were a delight and the indoor cats were low maintenance and cuddly. And the location, gorgeous nature and small town life with plenty of conveniences was great fun too! Hoping I can make it back someday! Wonderful sit overall
