Two dogs with a sea view and mountain trails

About this assignment

Someone to look after our two dogs, Pip (10 yr old cocker x kelpie) and Pocket (9 yr old cocker). The dogs are people dogs used to having company, but can be left for a few hours. There are plenty of walks from the house so no car is needed, if you want to explore further into the mountains a car is needed. They both travel well.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The dogs will need walking and feeding twice a day.
They are fed a raw food diet.
There are a few house plants to water. Lino floors throughout so low maintenance to keep clean.

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in a 2 bed apartment overlooking the fjords. We share the building with one other couple (private entrances on opposite sides of the building) and have neighbours but they are not too close and the large garden is relatively private. Lots of walking opportunities from the front door, the wilderness is never far away. There is a well stocked Spar for food and other essentials, 15 min walk away. Large shopping mal 15 mins on the bus, bus stop is just a few mins walk from the house.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Taking care of our dogs is the priority, they are friendly dogs but do need companionship so this is not an opportunity for someone who is planning to be out of the house a lot. June / July we have very long days, last summer was a crazy heatwave but typically we have a mix of sunny days with showers. Who knows what this summer will bring, we can get all types of weather in one day!
