Loving spaniel in semi-rural seaside house in Weymouth

About this assignment

Must adore dogs.
Preferably some anatomy/medical basic knowledge, as dog has hip dysplasia (although currently very fit) and a historical ruptured disc from being long-backed, so a logical understanding of sensible activity restrictions would be beneficial to prevent deterioration or injury. (Avoid jumping off things, playing with other dogs, extended ball-chasing, etc).
Our dog is used to being around people all day - either with me working from home, or her being out with us. We would like someone who is willing to take on being her companion whilst we are away and who will enjoy the love and affection that she gives.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Play with, cuddle, feed and exercise dog.
2 x 45 minute walkies, 1hr physio exercises, tricks, searching for treats, etc.
Infinite cuddles when possible!
Feed goldfish daily.
Occasional plant watering in hot weather for any extended stays.
Take care of our home and belongings.
Enjoy the surroundings and relax!

What are the good features of the property and location

Beautiful area with stunning walks and scenery. 20min easy walk to beach / 4min drive. Modernised, spacious house, superking bed.
Local scenic pub, shops. Festivals/live music most nights/weekends.
Use of pool/snooker table and hot tub (by prior arrangement).
Easy travelling distance to most of the best spots along the Jurassic Coast (Durdledoor, Lyme Regis, Portland quarries, etc).

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The dog is our top priority!
Fine to be left >5hrs, but usually isn't - normally comes with us everywhere. Did I mention cuddles??
Expect her to take up at least 3hrs of your day, with focused attention, if you are planning on leaving her at home (half before you leave, half when you return)...or for her to join you going off exploring our beautiful area.

We are perfectly happy for any suitable sitters to stay longer than the required "cover" dates, so that we can show you around the area with local knowledge, get to know each other / show you local walkies / let you get to know Tilly's comical character, before we leave our precious pooch in your care... and/or allow you extra unrestricted time to go off alone to explore and enjoy the Jurassic Coast and all of its delights.
