About this assignment
We are looking for responsible individuals (ideally a couple and early birds)with real experience petsitting for others and handling large dogs. We are looking for tidy and clean helpers as they will leave in our house while we are away.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The tasks consist of
- walking the dog twice daily for approx 1 hour each time: early morning walk ( around6h-6h30) and another one in the afternoon
- feeding the dogs and our 4 cats that are easy going and leave their lives spending time outdoor and indoor ( specially at night during winter)
-. Keep good and fluid communication with us about our pets while we are away. Feed the Dogs and the Cats.
- Take good care of our house and do some small easy tasks in the 4 suites we have on the b&b part ( basically opening and closing the windows during the day)
What are the good features of the property and location
We leave in the country side in a very quiet area ( closest village at 6 km). We have a stunning blue flag beach 500 mts away and also a nive forest at 25 min ( walk). We are located in the Barroco Valley close to Noto.
Our property is immersed in the green with huge gardens.
We have high speed wifi to work remotly.
The daily walks for our 2 dogs can be to the beach ( 500 mts from home) or the nearby beautiful forest, or in the countryside. You can walk straight or take the car (as our is at your disposal) as they love to travel by car – and explore other areas/empty beaches you can find around our location.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
*The tasks are easy and simple We prefer to have a COUPLE as our male dog is 60 kg and our female 26kg so it is easier if 2 people take care of the walks.
*Pachino, our male dog ,can be grumpy sometimes and just want to be left alone, sleeping on his sofa. If you do so, take him for his walks and feed him you wil be best friends forever. He does normal life but he has arthrosis & displasia and loves going around but sometimes he stops during the walks to rest before resuming the march ( patience needed) he sometimes stops to rest during the walks so it requieres a bit of patience.
* Lily, our female dog, is very social and friendly. She is very active and loves running around
* our 4 cats are easy going. They live their lives, going in and out during the day. Make sure they always have food and doors slightly open so they can come in whenever they want.
*Driving licence mandatory

A wonderful Winter in Sicily
We were guests of Annabelle and Mayo in their wonderful property near Pozzallo from November 20th to the end of January. It was an indescribably beautiful time for us. After a very warm welcome, we were able to meet the two dogs Lilly and Pachino. They are so adorable. We miss both of them very much now. There are also the three friendly cats, Aldo, Manolo and Stracciatella. The cats are cuddly and fairly self-sufficient. It's a pleasure to look after them all. The facilities and the garden were comfortable and hardly required any work. It was just a short walk to the beach. Actually, apart from walking the dogs twice and feeding the animals, we didn't have to do much. But the trees were full of oranges that we occasionally picked up from the ground and we swept up leaves in the driveway. We ventilated the three guest suites, which were unoccupied at the time, every day. Annabelle and Mayo are so kind and generous. It cannot be described in words. We stayed in touch the whole time they were away. They were always interested that we are doing well too and that we have everything. We also had a car at our disposal the whole time, so we could always go on short trips into the area with or without dogs. All in all, we absolutely recommend staying with Annabelle and Mayo. Best for couples as it is a bit quieter in the winter time. We would like to thank you very much for the trust and the honor that we were allowed to be your guests.
