About this assignment
I am looking for someone who enjoys being around cats and who will treat my home and pets with respect! The ideal house sitter is responsible, clean, has experience with caring for cats, and will be respectful of neighbors.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The main responsibility for this house sit will be care and some companionship for our 2 kitties, Mao and Sun. They will need food and water and litter box cleaning, and they are very affectionate but also pretty independent since they have each other. No other house responsibilities are required other than keeping the place tidy and potentially watering some potted plants.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our home is a spacious 2 bed/2 bath flat on the second main floor of a house in the Sunnyside neighborhood of San Francisco. There is a fully equipped kitchen, a separate office and dining room, a deck and backyard, and washer/dryer in the garage. The neighborhood is safe and residential, but there are plenty of restaurants and grocery stores within easy walking distance. Street parking is easy to find and public transport is also accessible within 10-15 minutes walking distance (Bart and Muni).
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Interested house sitters must have experience with and a love for cats. We just ask that you respect our home and keep it clean and tidy as we have left it! We can provide use of a car for the right house sitter if needed as well.

Great hosts and cute kitties
Isolde and Ani were very welcoming and friendly hosts. We had smooth communications with them leading up to the sit and all throughout. They gave us a walkthrough when we arrived and provided written instructions which were great to reference throughout the stay. Mao and Sun were a little skittish at first but it was really fun to discover their personalities and offer plenty of belly rubs and cuddles once they warmed up to us. We loved getting to explore SF and enjoy being in a comfortable and easy to care for home, complete with lovely plants all around and a sweet backyard patio. We had everything we needed and we were grateful for all the thought and care that went into our exchange. We would definitely recommend this sit if you get the chance!
