Seeking reliable dog-lover to care for Lenny, affectionate 4-year-old hound mix, in Burgundy B&B. The cats, Milk and Ash, live outside and in the outbuildings.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Lenny is a big dog and gets dropped off at the neighbour's each day where he can run around and hunt in a 2-acre paddock with his friend Rita. The cats are fed in the evening and love attention once they get over their shyness.Keeping the house clean and well cared for is also important as it is my livelihood.

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is a B&B, with a chef's kitchen and all modern amenities. It is located on 3 secluded acres with stunning views. There are many opportunities to hike or bike ride in the area (I have bicycles).

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The house is in a very rural area, surrounded by rolling hills. The nearest sizeable town is 13km away with supermarkets, a hospital, pharmacies, etc. There is also a grocery store and train station in a smaller town 7 minutes away by car. You can use my car, but you must know that it is an old farm car. The handyman comes by occasionally to use the leaf blower, prune some trees and do repair work.

Can I bring my own pets?

Restrictions: You can bring a dog but animals are not allowed in the bedrooms.
