About this assignment
Someone who really appreciates animals and is tune to their idiosyncrasies. I have 2 old cats who are very different but both need daily acknowledgement. I also have two dogs. They require minimal looking after but can be fussy with food. We have a modern house in St Lucia looking out over the Atlantic just keep it clean and look after my cats (video if poss) and the your time is your own.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Feed, shop and make food for one cat, two dogs and provide dry and wet packet food for the other cat. Ensure you leave the house as you left it so cleaning and some minimal gardening, we have a gardener for more manual jobs.
What are the good features of the property and location
This is truly paradise with all the modern convenience. We have a 3 bed/bath house with an additional 2 bed apartment. So you have the option of where to stay. We are immersed in nature with tree covered mountains and tropical gardens, hot tub and spectacular views.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Driving is preferable but unfortunately we are unable to offer our vehicle due to insurance restrictions on the island. However we can introduce you to car hire, at preferential rates and there is a bus service within 15 min walk. Better for two or more people as although within a community it could be considered a bit quiet however it is far from isolated.

Lovely Chill out assignment
Julie and Mark provided us with a very substantial apartment for our stay. The accommodation was very comfortable. The animals were easy to care for, Pepper and Chilli the cats were very independent , Pepper very cautious, Chilli very demanding of attention and always hungry. Sunshine and Midnight the dogs were a joy to look after and once fed in the morning were happy enough just laying around maybe in the road or under the Van. Always ready for a walk and perfectly obedient off lead, responding and returning when called. Once we had bonded they were just a joy to be with. If either of us went somewhere individually and they were left at home we could always expect a very affectionate reception on our return, they would sprint down the road to greet us. If they were confined to the front garden when we both went out they would be so excited on our return. We had good contact with Julie and Mark whenever we needed advice or help. As this was their first use of MMH there were a few things that were lacking, most importantly a list/ inventory of animal routines, feeding, habits, likes and dislikes etc, but I feel sure these small but important details will be put right for any subsequent sitters. I would not be very correct if I did not mention that the location is rather remote and the access road is only half prepared, and half unprepared and very uneven. This makes travelling into the nearest town, Vieux Fort, not very easy without a vehicle. This is a consideration that needs thought because hiring a vehicle costs around $50+ per day. However, if the sitter/s are looking for a chillax experience, this could well fit the requirements. I was certainly relaxed and did not really desire to do the touristy trips, happy to soak up the sunshine. Thank you Julie and Mark.
