A SMALL GEM CLOSE TO EVERYTHING IN HOUSTON

About this assignment

We are planning road trip to a family wedding in August. Dates may change but will only be one day either way, depending on our final flight schedule. Our departure and return dates are flexible but we are planning to be gone for about 3 to weeks. We need a house and pet sitter to take care of our house, plants (outdoor), dog and cats.

We have a dog and four indoor cats. The inside cats all expect the cat pans to be emptied daily. The cats are very different in personality. One, Highway, is very independent but will be friendly. He is an aloof, orange love-bug. The second, Mr. Spock, is about 5 years old. He too is a major love-bug. and loves to play with the cat toys and paperballs. The third, Ensign Chekov, is a big black and white baby. He loves to get on shoulders to ride and receive treats. Last is Lt. Uhura, an American shorthair tabby. She was a feral kitten that was brought to our backyard by a black feral cat that we called Franks. Franks is no longer with us. The indoor cats have a two continuous bowls of food and they enjoy treats which are in the kitchen.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The cats require their litter boxes to be cleaned daily. They have two bowls of food that have to be replenished as needed as well as two water bowls that need to be refilled daily. The water bowls also will need to be washed occasionally.

Wednesday has food and water bowls in the kitchen that need to replenished daily. Her bowls also need to be cleaned periodically. We put all the bowls in the dishwasher at one time to clean them. Wednesday likes walks around the neighborhood.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our house is located almost equidistant from the Museum District, The Galleria, one of the USA's outstanding top end shopping malls and NRG Stadium, home of the Houston Texans. We are also less than a half hour from the downtown theater district, Convention Center, Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets, Daikin Park, home of the Houston Astros, and PNC Stadium, home of the Houston Dynamo and DASH.

We are also about a half hour from the downtown theater district, George Brown Convention Center, Toyota Center, home of the Houston Rockets, Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros and BBVA Compass Stadium, home of the Houston Dynamo and DASH our soccer teams.

Many other attractions are nearby including The Houston Space Center (NASA), Galveston, and Kemah Boardwalk. There are numerous Texas State Parks well suited for days trips including Brazos Bend State Park, one of our favorites, Galveston State Park, Sam Houston State Park and too many more to list.

Our neighborhood is quiet and also centrally located to shopping, entertainment and five minutes from the world renown Texas Medical Center.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The main items for us are making sure our dog and cats are taken care of. We would also like daily photos.

Our plants are in pots that will need watering every other day when it is summer. Weekly if it does not rain in the rest of the year.

Can I bring my own pets?
