About this assignment

We are looking for a reliable, easy-going person or couple to look after our little slice of paradise in Boca Raton, Florida, while we travel. You should be a dog-lover and have your own transportation. Someone with a police check and good references preferred.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Responsibilities include care for Roxanne, a sweetheart of a dog who is very low maintenance, maintaining the house and property, and watering plants. We have a lawn service and cleaning lady who both come about twice a month.

What are the good features of the property and location

We are located in the heart of Boca Raton, less than a half-mile walk to downtown. We are about a mile from the beach and 30 minutes by car away from Fort Lauderdale (south) and West Palm Beach (north). We have lush landscaping on a double lot and there is a Zen-like quality to our property, Our 3 BR, 2 bath house was built in 1953 in Mizner style and is very cozy. We have top-quality internet and WIFI, and both streaming and live TV.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You are taking on the responsibility of our home and precious pup, who is not a good long distance traveler. She does, however, love going to the local dog park, so a few trips a week there are strongly requested. We expect you to treat our house and dog as if they were your own.
