About this assignment

The house sitter should be friendly, reliable and have respect for our property. Be a non indoor smoker. As we don’t have pets, they should be willing to spent time instead on our house plants and the garden.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We welcome a responsible house sitter or a house sitter couple without pets. Some love for plants would be great as our house and garden plants need to be looked after. We would like you to do some gardening.
We would like the house sitter to contact us if anything is at question and be approachable. We do not want other people than the house sitter to stay as their guests in our home.

What are the good features of the property and location

Penzance is a seaside town in Cornwall. The sitter will stay in our self contained studio in our terraced garden - with some use of the main house (for example washing machine, tumble dryer and our open plant lounge -kitchen-diner wit the surrounding terraces. The Studio has its own garden terrace and fantastic sea views over Mounts Bay. It has a sleeping room with a double bed, a bathroom with a shower and an open kitchen-dining lounge. The walk into town and the beach is 10 minutes each. Public transport is readily available and Cornwall with all its beauty and tourist attractions right in front of our doorstep.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Dear house sitter you should have some love for plants and a garden. We have toads, newts, slow worms and other wild creatures living on the property.
If you are likeley to do some gardening, you are welcome to come two weeks before we leave, so we can discuss what you could do. You are also welcome to stay a bit longer, if you are up to help us in the garden.
You can park your car in our yard. The train and bus station is a 10 minute walk away. The nearest airport is Newquay airport. Public transport from there is available to Penzance, but takes more time than a car drive, which takes 45 minutes.
We have a guest apartment in the garden, where you are staying, it is a self contained house. You are very welcome to use parts of our house during your stay as well.
