About this assignment
Looking for a nice couple (preferably a bit older and wiser) to look after our house and take care of our four young cats. They must be reliable and responsible and it would be great if they could speak a little Spanish but not essential.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
They will need to feed the cats, water a few potted plants and clean the pool now and then. Otherwise it is important that they spend a lot of time on my property.
What are the good features of the property and location
As we are in Tenerife, the weather is usually very good so you are welcome to use the pool and BBQ area as much as you would like to,
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
If we come to an agreement you must be absolutely reliable.
You will need to hire a car as there are no shops or restaurants close unless you would like to walk into town which is approx. 20 minutes..
Can I bring my own pets?

Terrific Tenerife
We spent 2 amazing weeks house sitting for Carolyn and Christian and enjoyed every minute of our time in Candelaria. They were great communicators right from the start and gave us very clear instructions to care for their property, pool and cat Archie. We were able to spend our days in an extremely comfortable studio apartment and enjoyed their beautiful pool, bbq and views from our private patio and the roof top. Archie the cat took a while to warm up to us but was sweet and very easy to care for. The island itself was easy to navigate - we rented a car and explored many areas including beaches, the volcano some snorkelling spots and a surf beach. Carolyn and Christian are lovely, kind and fun people and we enjoyed having dinners with them before they left and when they returned. We are hopeful that we might get back to Tenerife again to visit (or house sit) and would love to have our new friends come to visit us in Canada... we owe them a few dinners! If you have the chance to do this house sit - take it! It is a lovely home and island to explore.
