Friendly person who loves cats and chickens and living in a renovated cottage with all amenities, in a rural peaceful environment full of birdsong!
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Minding and feeding 2 cats and 8 chickens every day, keeping the chicken coop clean, enjoying the garden and all the eggs you can eat!
What are the good features of the property and location
Quiet country cottage in a rural location, fully modernised with washing machine, microwave, cooker and coffee machine. Peaceful, except for the local wildlife, with loads of natural light.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You will need your own transport, there's plenty of space to park in behind gates. The nearest shop (and pub and restaurant!) is two kilometers away. No bus stop nearby. No smoking or vaping please

Sinead and Pascal are wonderful, friendly and very easy going. They have a lovely large property where you can enjoy nature all around you. Their cats are very independent and easy to care for; we enjoyed when they would come around for visits, though most of their time was spent being cats and exploring the large gardens on the property. The chickens on the other hand, adored hanging out and following me around. They loved eating our leftovers and rewarded us with 6-8 delicious eggs everyday. They have a nice situation on their property in that they have a well-eqipt cottage for carers to stay; it included a nice sized kitchen, great temperature and pressure shower, bedroom, lounge and our favorite space was the little covered patio where we spent most of our time. We enjoyed the privacy and quiet, especially at night. The neighbors are not near, so we also enjoyed playing our music, knowing we had no one to disrupt. The property is large, however most grows without any fuss. A couple dozen potted plants to water when there wasn't rain and only requires mowing every couple week. However, I enjoyed the riding mower so much I was disappointed it didn't require more mowing. The location of their home is excellent for touring about Ireland's Ancient East with many attractions near by as well as a quick easy hop to Dublin. The area also was convenient to many shops and grocery etc. I hope that our paths will cross again as we enjoyed the company of the hosts.
