Cat Sitter needed Sep 14/15 to March 1 - in Princeton NJ area

About this assignment

I would like a non-smoking, experienced mature cat lover/sitter to spend time with my boy Benny while I am on vacation as he recently lost his best buddy of 13 years. Would prefer a woman with references who has taken care of a home & cats before. I live in a quiet over 55 community so no parties or loud music as it would disturb the neighbors as well as my kitty. A car or using Uber/Lyft is essential.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed Benny AM & PM, change water & litter, take in mail, water plants, keep the house clean. I have an automatic water bowl and Litter Robot which I can show you how to use. No visitors or overnight trips as my friendly boy really needs attention and someone to be in the house overnight.

What are the good features of the property and location

Very safe small house that overlooks a large lawn and backs onto the woods. This tree-lined community is surrounded by woods, small lakes and easy walking paths. Supermarkets, coffee shops and movie theaters are a 5-10 minute drive away. I am about a 20 minute drive from Princeton University & halfway between NYC and Philly (about an hour or so each way). I am also ten minutes from a NJ Transit train staton that gets you to NYC Penn Station and Philly so those would be an easy day trips. With a car it is a short drive to some lovely river towns along the Delaware River as well as the Jersey Shore. There are also lots of interesting Revolutionary War historic areas to explore nearby including Washington Crossing Park as well as the fabulous Grounds for Sculpture. I have Roku TV and FIOS internet.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

A car is pretty much essential - no shops are within walking distance. No smoking permitted. I am vegan/vegetarian so prefer that no meat is cooked in the house. FYI, I used to have regularly have cat sitters at my home using a different company for about 10 years in another state before Covid and was previously an AB&B host there as well. When I moved here to be closer to family I deleted the TH listing so unfortunately I no longer have access to transferring those reviews here. I would like us to do a zoom/ FB Messenger or FaceTime interview before we agree to finalizing anything.
