Dog, cat and house sitter wanted in a beautiful house in Bern for 4 weeks

About this assignment

We are looking for a caring and trustworthy person or couple to enjoy our pets and house as much as we do.
If you have experience with dogs, love cats and are good at looking after houses, you are the right person. It would also be perfect if you have experience with horses.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We require our house sitter to manage our lively dog, including walking it two to three times a day. Our three cats need food and attention every day, as well as being let in and out through the window (they do not understand the cat door).
The garden is not very demanding and only needs to be watered in dry weather. The indoor plants need watering twice a week.
Keeping the house tidy and being mindful of your energy usage is required.
The two horses enjoy a nearby boarding stable (10 minutes by car or bicycle), so you won't need to work with them. However, if you have experience with horses, you can enjoy long walks (maybe riding).

What are the good features of the property and location

We are located in the capital city of Switzerland, Bern, near by the Aare and the forest.
The old town of Bern can be reached in under 20 minutes. There are grocery stores within walking distance.
Our garden is perfect for barbecues and relaxation, and the detached house offers beautiful views.
You can swim in the nearby River Aare and go on beautiful hikes directly from the house. You are also welcome to use our car.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You have experience with dogs that need a lot of exercise. Our dog is very well-behaved, but does need some consistency.
It is important that our house sitter understands that posting on social media about our property and privacy is strictly prohibited.
