Circe is the black cat, she is spicy. Soren is the Abyssinian kitten, do not let him outside! We have a catio they enjoy. Paloma is the silken windhound, age 10.
I need someone who will be kind to my pets, including my rather spicy black cat. I would like someone who is good with objects-I'm sensitive to water marks and scratches. I am also looking for someone who is good with plants and willing to water inside and out if need be.
I have 3 pets. (not including the aquariums) Two cats, and a dog. It is possible that the dog could stay elsewhere, but she would prefer to be home. My dog, Paloma, is a Silken Windhound. She is 10 years old, quiet, and a bit fearful. She won't want long walks, although a short one in the neighborhood would be appreciated. She has a large fenced yard, so she is also happy with that. She goes out after meals and a few times in between.
Never barks, may need a pill-not sure by the time you will be here. My black cat is smart and spicy. She owns the world-the most outgoing cat I have ever had, but you'll need to know a few tricks about her to avoid her corrective nips. My boy, Soren, is an absolute doll, and just a kitten. The cats have a catio they can enter at will. I'll ask you to bring in the mail and water the plants.
I have a private, fenced back yard, I am near all the beautiful things of Ithaca-nature, hikes, waterfalls and of course Lake Cayuga. You will need a car but if you have that, nothing is too far. If you have never been to Ithaca, you are in for a treat. Good restaurants downtown, home of Cornell and all the greenery Cornell supports including the Arboretum and Botanical Gardens and the transcendent Johnson Museum.
You need to really like pets. And not bring one of your own. My priority is the comfort of my animals. Please don't inquire if you are just looking for a cheap vacation but animals are an after thought. I'd like to zoom or meet you in person if possible before you pet sit for us. There are two litter boxes to be cleaned daily, Paloma will need to be let out, and all creatures must be fed. I will leave vet contact info, and the contact info of a few friends. I will also be available over text or email or phone. I prefer good communication and a picture or two of my furry family from time to time.
No, sorry.
Testimonials
Visiting Ithaca and spending time with Paloma, Soren and Circe
Leslie was a gracious host. I arrived late in the evening and she had a wonderful supper waiting for me. She left me clear instructions on how to manage the household and her space was comfortable and eclectic. Open and bright with beautiful plants and many artistic items, you felt like you were in a peaceful oasis. Her furry Clan was a treat to take care of. Paloma is the most well mannered dog I met. I did learn very quickly that she loves to sample anything you happen to leave out. Circe is a cool black cat with a big personality and Soren is so loving. I never met a cat like Soren that will come up and rub heads with you and nuzzle you. Her various fish tanks were a treat to watch with glass designs and plants. Ithaca is a beautiful place to explore with so many waterfalls, gardens and lakes. Hoping to have the opportunity to visit again!

Wonderful experience
My husband and I had such a lovely house sit experience in this cozy house centrally located in Ithaca. Firstly, Circe, Soren and Paloma were sweet loving animals that were a joy to care for. Secondly, Leslie’s house was clean, in a central location next to all I wanted to see and explore and thirdly the instructions and communication with Leslie were clear and helpful which allowed things to go smoothly. Ithaca is a beautiful town that exceeded my expectations. We saw so many beautiful water falls and were surrounded by nature. It was a pleasure and we would be honored to do it again.
