Sitter needed to take care of our Nice home in Jungle paradise

About this assignment

We need trustworthy and reliable sitters to maintain the house and the garden
The environnement is the Jungle so it is important to do it regularly
We dont have pets but wildlife is all around us
Many birds, monkeys, insects, snakes, Scorpio…
So we need the sitters to like nature and respect it

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We need the house sitter to Maintain the house and garden
It is not difficult but we have many insects and animals around so it is important to not let them colonize the house
The house sitter will have to pay the electricity each month directly in the shops here as we can’t do it online
We have a big walk in closet and inside it we have a dehumidifier that needs to be running all the time to be sure all the clothes, linen, etc are safe for moisture

What are the good features of the property and location

We are 6kms from Punta UVA, one of the most beautiful beaches of Costa Rica
We have a beautiful swimming pool that we just remodeled and all the comfort you would need
We also have a pool and « babyfoot » to play with
A lot of board games and dvds.
I love to cook so you will find everything you would dream of in the kitchen.
The house has been renovated recently
We have 2 bedrooms with king size beds, each one with its own bathroom in the main house.

We have 2 national parks around : Cahuita and Manzanillo.
We also have the Jaguar Rescue Center near by to visit or volunteer in.
We live in a calm gated community.
The area is full with good places and restaurants

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

1) We don’t have running water here, we have 2 wells and are recollecting rain water
So we need to use it very carefully
We have filters to have drinkable water in the kitchen

2) We are in the middle of the Jungle so many animals around and insects
Not be afraid of them is necessary

3) We have mosquito nets for the bedroom/bathroom area and it is very important to close them all the time

4) A 4x4 or a quad or a moto is needed here as we are 6kms off road

5) we live in a private gated community, surrounded by monkeys, toucans, etc.
We have neighbors, humans and animals, and every sound resonates with all the trees around.
So every noise has to be controlled, music has to be listened with the right volume, as for tv, etc.
Of course no party allowed

6) we don’t have AC but many fans all around us he house, 5 in the main room/dining room/kitchen area
One in each bedroom
The nights are not so hit because of the forest around

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
