About this assignment

We're looking for a reliable and experienced house sitter who truly loves dogs — especially medium to large breeds and those with a rescue background. Our dog is a sweet soul with a bit of personality, so someone patient, confident, and calm around shelter dogs would be ideal.

We want someone who will treat our home with care and respect, just like their own — and treat our dog like the true king of his rooftop kingdom. If you're kind-hearted, responsible, and enjoy a cozy space with a great view (and an even better dog), we’d love to hear from you!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed Balthazar twice a day – morning and evening (he’s always on time, trust us)
Walk him three times a day – two longer walks in the morning and evening, plus a shorter one in the middle of the day
Take care of his skin and paws – a bit of wiping and cream here and there, nothing complicated
Water the plants – both inside the flat and out on the terrace (they’re chill, just need a little love)
Keep the apartment clean and tidy – treat it like your own home
We’ll leave clear instructions and everything you need to make things smooth and easy. He’s a lovely companion and just needs someone who’s happy to stick to his routine.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our dog is a rescue Xoloitzcuintli (Xolo) — and he totally lives up to the breed's personality. He’s very cautious around strangers and can be a bit scared when meeting new people. But give him a little time (plus some cuddles and snacks), and he’ll warm up to you.
He needs someone who’s calm, patient, and confident with nervous dogs, especially bigger breeds. Experience with rescue dogs is a big plus.
The Xolo breed requires regular skincare, so there’s a simple routine for his skin and paws that needs to be followed. We’ll show you everything before we go — it's easy once you get the hang of it.
He has a set daily routine that helps him feel safe — walks, meals, and quiet time all matter to him.
We’d prefer someone who’s around most of the day — he’s okay alone for a few hours, but not the whole day.
Our plants (indoor and terrace) need regular watering — especially in the summer heat.
Please treat our home with respect — no parties or loud stuff. It’s a quiet building with friendly neighbors.
No other pets, please — he’s not into sharing his kingdom.
