Looking for a house/dog sitter for our charming cape cod in Portland, OR

About this assignment

We are looking for a person or couple (sorry no kids) to watch our home and lovely dog Mia. We are a shoes off house and are neat freaks and are hoping for the same. Non-smokers please.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Just keep the house clean and keep an eye on the yard. Mia will need to be fed twice a day and walked at least once a day, does well at dog parks, and travels well in a car. Mia doesn't do well if left alone for long periods of time (over 2-3 hours) so we generally take her with us if we are going to be away from the house. Most of the yard is on sprinklers and drip systems so watering would be minimal. There may be a few potted plants to hand water.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home has many modern upgrades for an older home and very warm and comfortable. We have a stunning yard with multiple hang zones, an awesome tree-lined neighborhood to walk in (homes from the 20s & 30s), and two shopping districts a mile away east and west. There is also a golf course in the neighborhood. Bus lines and a mass transit (Max Orange Line) are also nearby. It's about a 10-12 min drive to downtown Portland.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Be a good communicator relative to your needs and wants when we discuss the sitting so we can determine if it is a good fit and be responsible and considerate of our home. Also be considerate of our neighbors.
