About this assignment

We are looking for a housesitter to care for our Spanish Podenca Ruby - She is a rescue so initially is quite nervous with new people but she is very sweet. She loves her walks and adores being in a car . She must always be on lead as she has a high prey drive and is always on alert for small furry animals.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Ruby will need daily walks - she is no trouble in the house and likes nothing more than a snooze on the sofa.. We would like the house to be kept clean and tidy and there may be some garden watering if the weather is dry.Non smoker preferred

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is Victorian and is situated on a cobbled Georgian street minutes from the centre of Richmond where there are many amenities. The River Swale is close to the property and the views from the back are lovely. Richmond is the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales, a walkers paradise and the Lake District, the Yorkshire coast, York and Durham are an hour’s drive away.
A car is not strictly necessary as everything is within walking distance

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Richmond is quite hilly so housesitters need to be moderately fit. Also the house is a townhouse and has 4 floors so not good for people with dodgy knees!
