Lovely Manchester 3 bed house with 2 cats and a dog in Manchester, UK

About this assignment

- We're looking for house sitters who are reliable, honest, trustworthy, respectful, experienced and good communicators.
- We want house sitters to treat our home like their own and leave it how they find it.
- We appreciate open and reasonably frequent communication but we're not helicopter parents!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

- We have two cats, Ollie (6) and Huey (4) and a young (4) excitable dog called Tiggy.

- We would like house sitters to feed the pets twice per day, administer medication for Huey once a day (a very simple crushed up pill in a liquid paste which he loves), and walk the dog 2-3 times per day.

- The cats are very relaxed and access the garden via the kitchen window. Ideally they'd be inside at night-time and there is a litter tray in the kitchen for them. The cats love a cuddle on the sofa (Tiggy isn't allowed on the sofa unless she's on someone's lap).

- Tiggy is 4 years old and very friendly and energetic. She is a terrier/cocker spaniel cross. She is a fantastic companion - she's your best friend and loves meeting new people! - and benefits from a sitter who is experienced with and used to dogs and can walk her regularly. She requires 2-3 walks per day, with one being a run/fetch walk.

- Tiggy is good with children who are used to dogs - last year Tiggy loved sharing the house with a 4 year old house sitter who joined his parents to sit for a month-long sit for us.

What are the good features of the property and location

- We live in a lovely new build 3 bed house in a quiet close on a new estate in Middleton, Greater Manchester.

- The house is approximately 20-30 minute drive from the city of Manchester. The nearest train station is Mills Hill, which is 2 miles away from the house. There are buses that run regularly through Middleton, with a bus stop close to the house.

- Our home is very special to us and we ask sitters to treat it as their own and leave it in the condition they found it in.

- The Peak District is a short drive away and the Lakes are within 1-2 hours. We are a stones throw away from the M60 and M62 motorway.

- There is a private driveway with electric vehicle charging and sitters will have access to our private garden and BBQ.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

- Sitters need to be used to dogs and prepared to walk Tiggy 2-3 times per day and be experienced with spaniels and terriers. Tiggy is a joy to be around but is enthusiastic and requires experienced dog sitters who know how to live with a young dog and who can stick to her routine.
