Active progressive couple looking for outdoor/nature lovers to mind our beautiful 2 story updated farmhouse in the woods, along with our 2 sweet cats Ruti and Nestor.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The catsitter(s) will need to stay at the house, take care of the cats, keep the birdfeeders filled, and enjoy the produce from our organic garden.

What are the good features of the property and location

Beautifully redone rustic farmhouse on 10 forested acres. Bedroom has french doors leading to a huge 2nd floor deck. Upstairs bathroom has a jet tub. Downstairs bathroom has a walk in shower. Includes screened and open porches, and guest cabin. There is a quiet firepit down in the woods, a peaceful wetland to watch birds and wildlife, trails around the property, as well as a propane grill on the porch and a charcoal grill near the outdoor dining table. Town and grocery store, gas, restaurants a quick 5 minute drive down the hill. City of Jamestown with hospital, dining and all amenities is only 25 minutes away.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Very rural and private location, car is necessary. Two story house, should be able to manage stairs, though there are bathrooms on both levels. Must love cats and enjoy nature, and be willing to feed our many bird visitors. Knowledge of gardening a plus but not essential.
