About this assignment

We are looking for friendly and happy organic gardeners - a single person or couple - to be present in the house during the German summer and look after the garden. Green surroundings, large established fruit trees - cherries, apples, pears, quinces, plums - berries, and garden beds including high-rise beds to grow veggies.
Non-smoking, no drugs, no excessive alcohol.
Dates flexible.
We require a personal liability insurance valid in Germany.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Taking care of the house - keeping it clean and tidy, notifying us of any repairs and maintenance needed. Gardening. No pets. Lots of native birds.

What are the good features of the property and location

Beautiful hiking, cycling and paddling country between Kassel and Göttingen, central Germany. Ideal for outdoor enthusiasts.
Regular regional train connection to Kassel, the next largest city. From there intercity trains to other regions in Germany and Europe.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We, the house owner's kids, work and live in other parts of Germany. We are available throughout the home sitting stay, though are not in the immediate vicinity.
