Take care of my awesome dog in DFW

About this assignment

I’m looking for someone with lots of love to give my sweet 11-year old dog, Rusty. He’s a bit shy, unless he’s letting me know a neighborhood dog is walking by the house. ?

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feed and take out to bathroom daily
Short to medium walks of 1/4 mile to 2 miles 4-5 times a week
Water indoor plants once a week
Water rear and front outdoor flower beds every other day if it doesn’t rain.
May require some hand watering of small front lawn depending on heat

This is a 2-bedroom; 2.5 bath duplex.
12 minutes to/from DFW airport
10 minutes from historic Grapevine with wineries, restaurants, shops, bars, and commuter rail line to Fort Worth and Dallas
3/4 mile walk to Bob Eden Park, with miles of paved walking trails, tennis courts and sand volleyball
1/2 mile from Glade Parks with numerous shopping options, movie theater and restaurants
1/2 mile to massive Chicken and Pickle pickleball event center with indoor/outdoor courts
Free outdoor pickleball courts in Euless
Lake Grapevine is 15 minutes away and has kayaking, paddle boarding, boating, jet skiing
Pleasant Glade Pool is a public outdoor pool less than 1 mile away
Parr Park, Oak Grove Park, Dove Park all within 10-15 minute drive

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

It gets very hot in Texas in August. Temperatures in the 90s and 100s are to be expected. You will want to be in the air-conditioning during the heat of the day.
No Smoking indoor or outdoor
No illegal drug use
No other pets allowed
