About this assignment

We are looking for a caring, responsible, and trustworthy individual who genuinely loves animals and will treat our home with respect and care. Our ideal house sitter is someone who is attentive to detail, can comfortably follow our pets' routines, and is a good communicator, providing us with occasional updates during our time away. We value someone who is tidy, leaves the home as they found it, and is generally quiet and considerate of our neighbours. If you enjoy spending quality time with dogs and appreciate a comfortable, peaceful environment, you'll be a great fit!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Your primary responsibility will be the daily care of our dog.

Feeding him, walking him twice a day in the local woods, basic grooming, companionship, playtime, plenty of cuddles and conversation - he loves hearing you talk to him. : Giving them their meals twice a day (typically around 8 am and 6 pm) and ensuring they always have fresh water.
We ask that they are not left alone for more than 4-5 hours at a time. Plenty of cuddles, conversation and playtime are a must!

Beyond pet care, we just ask that you:
- keep the house tidy and clean, particularly the living areas, kitchen, and the bedroom/bathroom you use.
- bring in any daily mail and parcels.
- take the general waste and recycling bins on Fridays mornings.
- ensuring all doors and windows are locked when leaving the property and at night.
We will provide a comprehensive guide with all necessary details for pet care, home instructions, and emergency contacts upon your arrival. We kindly ask that the house is left in the same clean and tidy condition as found.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our comfortable house hopefully offers you an escape from the city. You'll have access to a spacious, well-equipped kitchen, a cozy living room with a Smart TV and streaming services, and a peaceful double bedroom with a comfortable bed. We have reliable, high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the house, perfect if you need to work remotely or just relax. Our private garden is a lovely spot for a morning coffee or an evening unwind. Parking is available on our driveway.

We are ideally located in a quiet, friendly suburban neighbourhood in Fleet, Hampshire. We are a mile from the town centre. Within a 10-15 minute walk, you'll find:

4 supermarkets, charming local cafes, pharmacies, and a selection of takeaways. Plenty of shops and restaurants are dog friendly. Local shops just behind our house.

Several lovely parks perfect for dog walking, including Fleet Pond Nature Reserve, Minley Woods, Farnham Park all with ample green space and walking trails.

Fleet train station is just a 10-minute walk, offering direct trains to Basingstoke and London Waterloo. Basingstoke mall is dog friendly as are most of the eateries.

Our location provides a perfect blend of peaceful suburban living with convenient access to amenities and major transport routes for exploring both local attractions and further afield.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Dog Temperament: In the car he gets excited when approaching your destination. He's a bit obsessed with chasing stones on his walk.

Companionship Needs: Our dogs are used to having someone at home all day, and prefer not to be left alone for extended periods (ideally no more than 4-5 hours at a stretch). This sit would best suit someone who plans to spend a good portion of their time at the house.

Transportation: While public transport is good, having your own car can be beneficial for exploring the wider Hampshire area at your own pace, especially for larger grocery shops. Driveway parking is available.

Non-Smoking Policy: We have a strict non-smoking policy throughout the property.

No Other Pets/Guests: We kindly ask that no other pets or additional guests are brought to the property during your sit.

Welcome Guide: We will provide a detailed welcome guide with all instructions. We'd appreciate you taking the time to read it thoroughly upon your arrival.
