Christmas in the beautiful Dordogne countryside

About this assignment

I am looking for a mature couple to take care of my home and extended furry family whilst I visit my children for Christmas in the UK.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Keep my pets safe, loved, fed and walked and keep the house clean and tidy. The dogs can't be left for more than four hours but are happy to go out with you.

What are the good features of the property and location

I live in a small rural commune which is 8 -10 kms from four of the prettiest villages in France. This is an old stone farmhouse with great Wifi, a big log fire and central heating. You will have an ensuite bedroom on the first floor. I am new here having moved over from THS where I have numerous references.so unfortunately I cannot provide MMH testimonials I will need them from you though.:-)

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You will need transport as there is no public transport nearby. We are 20 minutes away from Bergerac airport. There are also regular international flights to Bordeaux which is a 70 minute train ride away from Bergerac where I can meet you. I have two friendly dogs who need walking for about half an hour every morning and late afternoon, the cats come and go as they please and just need feeding and I also have two chickens who are used to spending most of their time in the house. The dogs cannot be left for more than five hours a day. Dates are approximate and flexible as I have yet to book my flights.
