About this assignment

We need a relaxed and responsible house sitter who enjoys rustic living with all the essentials in the Galician forest. It has two bedroom areas with 3 beds, desks, 2 couches, full kitchen, large dining table, 1 full bath and one 1/2 bath. It is a rustic "Galician Pine Cabin" with a wood stove and butane heaters if you get a bit chilled. But if it's a hot day, you can dip in the small pool quickly for refreshment or stay cool just relaxing in the stone part of the house. It's very peaceful here amongst the trees, but it is a bit dusty and not necessarily a 5 star hotel experience. If you cherish peace and nature, you will love it.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We need help with keeping the house and property tidy while we are away. We have no animals and we are selling the property, so with advanced notice, you need to keep the house clean and leave for a small amount of time if there is a scheduled viewing of the house with a potential buyer.

What are the good features of the property and location

Peace + nature. Not 5 star, but if you want to be in a place to get away from it all yet not too remote, we are a perfect escape. We are no more than 6 minutes to Tomino town, 35 minutes to Vigo, 15 minutes to Portugal beaches, 10 minutes to River Mino, hiking trails etc. It is a great location in the Baixo Mino area.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We are a cheerful and inclusive home, so come as you are and be open to a more rustic-cabin-feel experience. We have a small car you can borrow to pop into town.
