About this assignment

We are looking for someone is independent and is passionate about nature and living off grid. Our ideal house sitter is also someone who has experience in living in the countryside, likes getting his/her hands dirty, and is keen to put her/his gardening skills into practice.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

- Looking after the veggie garden (pruning, weeding, watering, harvesting...)
- Feeding our 3 adorable cats once a day
- General maintenance of the land and project
- Presence in the house

What are the good features of the property and location

The farm is 16th Century traditional farmhouse situated a few km from the Camino de Santiago in rural Galicia. Being off grid and part of a regenerative community project, gives you the opportunity to experience a more conscious way of living surrounded by lush and abundant nature.

Its privileged position at the entrance to the Caurel Natural Park, in a protected Red Natura 2000 area, offers a haven of peace and tranquility for visitors. It's an invitation to connect with the very essence of a life in harmony with the natural environment.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

It's important that you have your own means of transport, as Samos, the closest and small village, is 4 km away and public transport is quite rare. We look for someone generaly present while we are away, specially to take care of the garden and the cats.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: Yes, if they can live togegher with our three resident cats.
