About this assignment

We are seeking a gentle, naturally minded, dog loving, nature loving (the beach is a 20 minute drive and we have a beach pass) house and pet sitter. Non smoker, no drugs and moderate alcohol please.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We are looking for a house sitter and pet sitter for our older but still spry, 17 lb rat terrier chihuahua mix dog. He needs pets, TLC, to be fed twice a day and walked twice a day. He loves to sleep most of the time, but also likes his walks. Our dog loves women because he is bonded to me. You will also walk down to the mail box down the driveway and pick up mail a couple of times during your stay here.

What are the good features of the property and location

This 6+ acre home is located on a rolling hillside, with stunning views of west county Sonoma, the Pacific ocean in the distance and is surrounded by meadows, redwoods and occasional Tolkien like rivers of mist that roll in from the sea. Our home has great serenity. It is great for writers, poets, thinkers and nature lovers. We have 2.5 acres of woods behind our property, for you to explore. This is a true retreat for the soul. Yet downtown is a short 20 minute drive for your urban needs. We have wifi for you to work remotely if needed.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our dog is an elderly dog, but quiet, small and wonderful. He needs your gentle touch. This is a quiet suburb in western Sonoma, California, close to the coast, and a meditative retreat for the right person.
