About this assignment

We're looking for a person or couple who adores animals - and if you're a cat person especially? Even better! We would also be looking for a quiet and calm personality as this would suit our pets, but also the area we live in, as it is a quiet cul de sac. Somebody with an appreciation for nature would probably be really happy here based on our locale.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

We're looking for someone largely to care for our two cats - feeding, play, attention etc. They’re both extremely friendly if not a little shy at first, but will soon warm up after a few feedings! We would also like someone to take care of the house/garden of course (Taking parcels, watering plants & garden beds, maintaining cleanliness).

What are the good features of the property and location

We live in Sheffield (Walkley), situated around 15 minutes drive from central Sheffield whilst also benefitting from being 20 minutes from the middle of the Peak District! Also a close walk away is Rivelin Valley nature reserve, Hillsborough high street, as well as being close to neighbouring Crookes where you can find all sorts of different shops, cafes and parks, we consider ourselves to be very lucky in our locale, there really is something for everyone! :)

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our cats get fed four times a day and follow a feeding schedule as one of our cats has a carefully controlled diet.

It is very easy and there is no medication involved - one of them just has an extremely sensitive tummy! So that being said you would need to be around most days (a few three meals a day during the week would be fine to allow you explore/get into nature) and back by 11.30pm for the final mealtime.

The only other consideration I can think to mention is that the area we live in is very very hilly. This would not be suitable for anybody with mobility issues who does not also drive as in every facility in the local vicinity will have you climbing a hill either there or back!

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
