About this assignment

I'm looking for someone who loves cats, particularly someone who loves to give a lot of playtime and attention to them and who is comfortable with apartment living on a lively street near a downtown area.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Morning & nighttime feedings, administering any meds as needed (will give specific instructions if this is the case), cleaning litter boxes, making sure the water fountain is kept full, sweeping the floors clean of litter & food debris, taking in the mail

What are the good features of the property and location

Super cute and cozy apartment located just a couple miles from the heart of downtown Grand Rapids, with easy access to I-196, 131, the zoo, the gardens, Millenium Park, and more. Also, this location is less than an hours' drive to the Lake Michigan shore + beaches access. Very walkable neighborhood with a lot of tasty food options nearby. Free on-street parking available.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

I have upstairs neighbors who are generally pretty quiet and very respectful who I share the property with. There is free laundry (W/D) in the basement. WiFi included, Roku-connected TV available with several streaming services available. During summer months this unit is cooled with window A/C units, and in the winter, there is forced-air heating. There are road noises throughout the day and into the evening so if you're looking for a super quiet getaway, this may not be the place. But, if you love the energy of downtown life and want to explore by foot, this is the perfect neighborhood for that!
