Looking after Pablo the staffy in a country escape in the mountains

About this assignment

Someone for our Pablo, who spends time in our house. Who doesn’t mind to walk him once a day and be company for him. Someone loving who doesn’t mind to give him some extra love and attention while we’re gone :)

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Mainly taking care of our dog Pablo which includes walking him once a day, feeding him twice a day and just be in his presence most of the day. Otherwise there are just a few pot plants that need watering

What are the good features of the property and location

Our house is nestled on a quiet street on a mountain with views of the hills and fields surrounding it. It’s got one main bedroom, a guest room and a kids room. It’s open plan living/kitchen with high ceilings and a big window front looking out to the backyard and nature views. There’s a separate laundry with doggy door, a separate toilet with sky light and a big bathroom with shower and bathtub. The backyard is very big with veggie pads and a magnesium spa you‘re of course welcome to use. The whole house runs on a rainwater tank and there’s a fireplace in the living room. There’s ample of parking on the property in front of the house including a carport. Attached it a little office to the carport. Wi-Fi is unfortunately not available on the mountain although Telstra network and 5G works fine! It’s a lovely quiet nature getaway if you need some time away from the busy city life. A short drive away is Rosins Lookout, a breathtaking view down the mountain or you can visit the close by Lamington National Park.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Although Pablo is absolutely fine by himself for a few hours a day we’re ideally looking for someone who works from home as he can get a bit anxious when we’re not there. You don’t need to entertain him, he’s actually quite low maintenance. Please no other dogs or small children, he isn’t used to either in his home :)
