About this assignment

We are looking for someone who is comfortable with both dogs and cats. Please note that we have some flexibility on these dates and have availability for you to stay anytime between December 14-Dec 31 for no charge, but those dates must include Dec 20-27, and you would have minimal pet responsibilities other than those dates.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Taking care of our dog: walking, feeding, keeping him company, giving him a pill once a day. Taking care of our cats: changing the litter, feeding twice a day, and giving one of our cats a pill twice a day.

What are the good features of the property and location

This charming and spacious 1 bedroom apartment with a private entrance is perfect for exploring the South Shore of Boston. Located in Historic Weymouth, the home is located near restaurants, excellent hiking, shopping at Hingham Shipyards and easy access to Boston (only 15 miles away). The suite is attached to our house, but has its own entrance and complete privacy. It is a private suite (formerly a separate in-law suite of our home).

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Our dog will want to sleep in the bedroom with you, and may choose to sleep on the king size bed with you. He has some mild separation anxiety so he prefers to be in the room with his humans when you are home (but is fine when you need to leave him alone). You must have experience giving pills, as our dog and one of our cats both need a pill twice daily.
