About this assignment

We are looking for a kind, fit, tidy person or couple who are experienced with dogs and cats and happy to be in a small quiet village which has 2 shops and a post office. You will live in the 2 bedroom guest house and care for 3 rescue dogs & 2 house cats in the garden and our house next door.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Care for our 2 cats and 3 dogs, the houses and gardens as necessary. The cats are fed and played with twice daily and the dogs just once daily and walked once daily if good weather, otherwise they have 1000m yard to play. It would be helpful but not necessary if the sitters can manage our simple solar system (with full instruction). The cats are indoor cats and the dogs sleep indoors but play outdoors on nice days. Our garden and homes will need the usual maintenance.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our garden is organic and a wildlife haven, surrounded by trees and beautiful nature. The wider location of North West Bulgaria is well known for its amazing beauty. https://vagabond.bg/wonders-northwest-4356 This is an opportunity to experience real Bulgarian language and culture in a safe and friendly village. Our property is 4000m2 with a small forest, an orchard, a vegetable garden and many seating areas to listen to and watch the diverse wildlife. The Danube is 40 minutes away and within 10 minutes drive/taxi there is a railway station to Sofia, Vratsa and other places of interest. Within 20 minutes drive the modern city Vratsa with all amenities including hospitals, restaurants and supermarkets etc.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We need sitters who are happy to commit to a minimum of 2 weeks and be at our home at least mornings and evenings daily, for the animals. Appreciation of a very peaceful rural environment will also be required. Sadly Internet is somewhat limited to 300 gb a month, plenty for emails and browsing but not great for downloading huge files like films.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
