About this assignment

We are looking for a kind, fit, tidy person or couple who are experienced with dogs and cats and happy to be in a small quiet village which has 2 shops and a post office. You will live in the 2 bedroom guest house and care for 3 dogs & 2 house cats in the garden and our house next door.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Care for our 2 cats and 3 dogs, the houses and gardens as necessary. The cats are fed and played with twice daily and the dogs just once daily and walked once daily if good weather. It would be helpful if the sitters can switch off mains in the day and back onto mains at night, to manage our solar system, although this is not essential. The cats are indoor cats and the dogs sleep indoors but play outdoors on nice days.

What are the good features of the property and location

Beautiful nature surrounds our property and the wider location of North West Bulgaria. An opportunity to experience real Bulgarian language and culture in a safe and friendly village. Our property is 4000m2 with a small forest, an orchard, a vegetable garden and many seating areas to listen to and watch the diverse wildlife. Within 10 minutes drive there is a railway station to Sofia, Vratsa and other. Within 25 minutes drive there is a modern city Vratsa with all amenities including hospitals, restaurants and supermarkets etc.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

We need sitters who are happy to commit to a minimum of 2 weeks and are happy to be at our home at least mornings and evenings, for the animals. Appreciation of a very peaceful rural environment will also be required. Sadly Internet is limited and there is no TV. It may be worth downloading films etc before coming.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
