What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

All there is to be responsibal of, when staying in another ones house.
Feeding Sofia my cat and Layla my dog.
Walking out, Taking her with you as much as possible when going to explore. She is a very good long walker, quet, calm while visiting a terace for a drink. No problems with visiting artisan markets, she is used to that. She is very good in the car. Being there at nights.
If going on your own , please take in account that you stay away for max 6 hours and not every day.

Water plants inside, 2, outside in the garden.
See to it that garbage is regualar removed.
Be there when the gardener comes or the cleaning lady .It is mostly at Thursdays.

Report regualar to me about the wellbeing of Sofia and Layla.
Call me anytime when needed.
Never go to a vet without first consulting with me whatever the surcomstances.

Fill up anything that is emptied like tea, coffee, etc..
Be causiios with the water consumption. I have my own underwater supply.

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is a bungalow, so no stairs walking up and dow.
There is a huge garage detached to the house and a huge shed at the end of the garden.

The area is about 1800 m2, I made an area where I sort of have my 'garden' with pIants and flowers, and a little pond made of a satellite dish.
I origanally come from Holland and we are used to have not only property to grow food on.

There are all around olive trees of more than 150 years old, a peachtree and several orange trees, dates etc.
There are beautiful large rocks, and two teraces, but those I did not yet designed to sit on.

I have a huge generator that supplies the whole house of electricity, just in case....
I have a solarpanel warmwater heater and no water of the local suppliers.
I'll see to it that you'll have waterbottles which you can empty in a very good waterfilter in the kitchen.
The tapwater I nore my animals drink of.

If you like the calm and quiet, this is your place, but a combination is well to do. I go out, most days.
Beautiful paths to wander, nature all around you, not so far from the watersides, waterfalls, beach, not surrounded by endless woods of Eucalyptus.
A nice variaty of plants and trees, no others crossing your paths.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Non smoker, not vaccinated please. There is no T,V,, there is a radio and if you have CD's they can be played.

I use internet via my supplier, no wifi, but no problems at all.
The whole area has sometimes problems to receive, but this is rural area.
I connect everyday with everyone, I personaly am in need of that.

The house is not a top modern house, I adjusted the bathroom, the fireplace in the kitchen.



A car is needed, the nearest store is at 6 km distance at Santiago da Guarda.

My dog Layla is afraid of men, because of being malltreated, she is easily scared when having a harsh tone, she is a good guardian dog and hears everything. If you gained her trust, which is n't hard if you have a good patience nature, she'll be devoted.

She loves it if you throw her ball toys.
She is not allowed to take her toys outside without you being there, because she'll burry them. There are still some toys and balls hiding under the soil of the garden.

They took her baby's, and when defending, they tore her teeth out, so she could not bite. So that's why she hides stuff. When she comes and gives you her toy, you really made it.

Sofia is an easy going little cat, she comes and goes. If you go out for a longer time, please keep her inside if possible.

They both sleep indoors, Layla in the bedroom and Sofia comes when she likes it.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
