About this assignment

This is our house and our beloved cat - we want you to treat them as well as you would your own. Responsibility and consideration are the most important attributes we are looking for.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Responsibilities are:
Basic house routine - take out trash, keep the place clean, water indoor and outdoor plants, bring in mail from the box.

Pets - Yeti requires attention - food and water, but also a lap and petting. He will follow you around, want to be taken for walks in the back yard, and play with toys. Clean litter boxes

Birdfeeders- fill as needed.

What are the good features of the property and location

The first thing people notice about our house is an amazing view of Puget Sound! We spend a lot of time in the living room looking out at an ever-changing set of clouds, water, boats, birds and trees. The house has 3 bedrooms and an office, a modern kitchen, and a hot tub and patio in the landscaped back yard. We are on a one-block cul de sac with friendly neighbors. Seattle has remarkable visitor amenities - Pikes Market, good museums, events at Seattle Center, a newly refurbished waterfront, a great zoo and aquarium. Downtown is about 25 minutes by car, an hour by public transit.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

While the house is in Seattle proper, public transportation is not great. Its a 15 minute walk to the nearest bus stop, 20 to the direct line to downtown.

Yeti is a very people oriented cat - by far the most people oriented cat we've ever had. He will need attention and affection.
