About this assignment

Looking for a cozy Christmas getaway in the beautiful Sligo countryside? I am seeking a reliable and caring house sitter (Single or couple)to look after my home and much-loved pets while I'm away. I welcome my house sitter(s) to relax and enjoy my home but to leave it as clean as they receive it.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

You’ll be keeping company with:
Holly – care for and feed our gentle, elderly indoor Jack Russell (she’s 15, a little sweetheart and doesn’t need walks as she has a large garden (but would not refuse a little walk now and again) She likes company and will follow you around the house :).

Goldie & Chubbs – two friendly outdoor cats. Goldie is very elderly, approx 20. Both just need daily feeding and fresh water.
I also have a couple of orchids requiring watering.

What are the good features of the property and location

The house is in a peaceful rural setting, so your own transport is essential. In return, you’ll have the run of a comfortable, well-equipped home with all modern conveniences, and one, maybe two bedrooms available for your stay. Wifi and office space is also available if you must work while you are here.

This is a wonderful opportunity to spend Christmas in Ireland, surrounded by nature, fresh air, and furry friends.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

No public transport, car is essential.
Accommodation is in return for pet-sitting (This is not a paid sit)
Must be reliable and willing to send the occasional whatsapp updates.
Must be available to arrive on 5th December for handover.
Will be required to purchase coal for stove fires.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
