About this assignment
I'm looking for someone who loves dogs to be with Momo, my 4-kilo dog, while I am away. She is very sociable, loves to play and doesn't like to be alone. She can be left alone for a couple of hours, but she is also happy to come along wherever you go. I also want a few potted plants to be watered, and to keep an eye on the pond levels and let me know if/when it rains (so I can adjust the irrigation from an app.) I am also flexible with dates so please contact me if you're interested in a sit.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
You'll be responsible for Momo and keeping an eye on the property, which entails a walk approximately once a day around to check the water levels of the large pond and two smaller ones.
What are the good features of the property and location
I live on a beautiful retreat in the Algarve with a huge swimming pond. It's ideal for someone who wants to get away from urban life and wants to be in nature. There is an on-site studio with almost daily yoga and pilates classes offered by excellent local teachers, which you could join. I live on a beautiful retreat in the Algarve with a huge natural swimming pool, that is only 2 km from Fuseta Beach and Fuseta village with all amenities including trains and buses. I have a bicycle for you to use.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
If you are looking to sightsee around the Algarve, then we aren't a good fit. You can take Momo to the nearby towns of Fuseta, Tavira, Olhao and Faro to see them but longer trips aren't really suitable for her to travel or for you to leave her for so long.

Perfect Dog Sit
I had the pleasure of looking after Momo for over two weeks in the Algarve. Momo was a joy to be with, Happy, friendly and playful. She loved company and going out with me daily. She had so much energy for walking (and slept well at night). As she is a small dog, she was easy to take everywhere. I just packed a rucksack and made sure she had food, water and her favourite blanket. As the weather was kind but not too hot we were able to have trips to Tavira and Olhao and also to her favourite beach locally. Her favourite thing was to play in the sand. She also liked to play and have fun with her toys. I miss her so much already and hope to see her again soon. Anna, the owner, is a kind, thoughtful lady who left good instructions /notes and communicated well and kept in touch. I also sent her daily updates with a photo of the day! The apartment I stayed in was tidy, clean and beautiful, with a pretty garden. I was very much "at home" there and enjoyed the morning and evening walks around the retreat grounds with Momo. I even joined in one of the pilates' classes and Momo was happy to stay in the apartment during this time. I would thoroughly recommend dog sitting for Momo and Anna and would happily sit again.
