About this assignment

We’re looking for a kind, reliable and patient person who truly loves dogs and understands that every rescue has their own personality. Someone gentle, calm and trustworthy who can make Croqueta feel safe and comfortable while we’re away. Ideally, you have some experience with nervous or reactive dogs and are happy to spend time at home keeping her company.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Your main responsibility will be to take care of Croqueta, our sweet but sometimes anxious rescue dog.
Here’s what that involves:

Feed her twice a day (morning and evening).

Take her out for short 15-minute walks to pee and poo, she doesn’t need long walks, just regular ones.

Keep her company at home; she loves having someone around.

Be mindful that she can be reactive to other dogs and is nervous around children, so calm and quiet walks are best.

Send us a few photo updates every now and then, we’ll love seeing how she’s doing!

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is in London Zone 3, just an 8-minute walk to the DLR (our version of the overground if you’re new to London).
It’s a quiet street, perfect for a peaceful night’s sleep.
There are a few green spaces within walking distance, great for Croqueta’s short walks and luckily, there aren’t many dogs around, which helps her stay relaxed.
You’ll have your own comfortable room, and possibly one housemate, who’s a lovely and respectful person.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Croqueta is a rescued dog who has unfortunately been attacked by big dogs in the past. Because of that, she can be reactive when she sees other dogs. We’re working on this with her, but patience and understanding are essential.
Once she feels safe, she’s the sweetest companion, she loves cuddles, napping in the sun, and being close to her humans.
If you’re calm, gentle, and enjoy a peaceful space with a loving (if initially shy) dog, this will be a great fit.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
