Rural House Sit Beautiful French Countryside

About this assignment

Our home is cozy (2 persons maximum) and easy to care for. We are looking for mature relaxed folks to enjoy our home and the surrounding nature. We have a cat and chickens- again easy to look after which allows a bit of freedom during your house sit. Smoking is prohibited.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

The responsibilities are minimal. We ask that you feed and water our cat, Mitzy. She stays out at night and sleeps in the barn. However, she does like a cuddle during the day. In addition, we have 7 hens and 1 cockerel. They have a feeder and water butt and only need attention every few days- however they do appreciate daily scraps! Depending on the time of year, watering of plants/veggie patches.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our home is small and cozy (please note suitable for 2 persons maximum) situated in a wonderful rural setting surrounded by 2,7 hectares of beauty and borders a small river. We have good high speed internet and a few streaming services available like netflix & prime. Our property is secluded and you will only hear the sounds of the countryside. There are warm and welcoming neighbours within a few minutes walk. Our local village offers a boulangerie and pharmacie. Boussac, a stunning town, is a 10 minute drive and has all the amenities needed.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You will need a car for this house-sit. There is private off road parking next to the house. Our heating is from a woodburner, there is a good supply of wood and the house is easy to keep nice and warm. The lounge/kitchen/dining are open plan on the ground floor and the bedroom/bathroom are on the 1st floor.
