Couple wanted to enjoy our "Chef's" kitchen while taking care of our outdoor pets

About this assignment

Someone use to (or wants) peace and quiet in the countryside. Someone I can rely on and trust. You MUST have a car. Must not be afraid of the raccoons, possums, or other small animals that go in and out of our barn. We are looking for a COUPLE who does not have children living at home because our house is not childproof! Someone who loves to sit by the window and watch deer and other animals right in the backyard. Someone who wants to cook in a chef's kitchen!

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Put bird feeders out every morning and take in every evening. Feed feral cats in the barn each day. Feed transient animals (cats as well as possums and others) each day. Keep an eye on the house while we are away. May include shoveling snow in winter, but will be plowed as needed. Put out garbage and recyclables each week. Contact us as needed.

What are the good features of the property and location

It is out in the countryside between Rochester, NY (30min.) and Syracuse, NY. (45min.) Very quiet, but close to several restaurants and ski slopes. We have a gazebo and a wooded backlot and a very large back patio as well as a hot tub for colder months. There are NO outside cameras on the gazebo, hot tub or back patio. You will have a garage for 1 car.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

The solitude, and the ability to think away from the masses. Must love relaxing while watching birds & animals. Loves quiet. We have outside cameras, but none inside or in the back. The nearest big stores are 16 miles away, but there are a couple local stores within a couple miles.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: Prefer cats, but small dogs would be fine
