Small farm full of love for animals and art

About this assignment

I am an artist and I live and work at home. My world revolves around d these animals and my work. We live on a small farm with 5 dogs, 3 horses and two chickens , in rural Portugal in a newly built house . I need someone who is responsible, caring, warm and loving to animals, who will spend time with them and care for them as if they were their own.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Feeding /giving water and excercising, playing with and CUDDLING, loving and ADORING all the animals. Depending on the season , watering the plants and trees, keeping the wood stove going, keeping things tidy and dealing with any garbage or recycling . The dogs are in and out of the house and so there is often vacuuming to deal with .

What are the good features of the property and location

The house us new and very well insulated with everything you could need . It is a beautiful house with lots of light, filled with places to relax and a big kitchen to cook in. We are 18 minutes to a big town with everything you need for shopping or medical needs if required.it is a beautiful, quiet and safe place with an incredible landscape and great walks on and around the land. Our vet makes house calls and lives 5 minutes away. There are two bedrooms, two bathrooms and also a beautiful outdoor shower.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

You need to be able to drive, you must love the outdoors and have knowledge of country living and have experience with being around horses. It’s best if you like to stay home and cook and be inspired by your surroundings.

Can I bring my own pets?

Yes
Restrictions: It really depends on the animal, definitely no cats and they have to be used to horses and chickens. A female dog would ok but not a male.
