About this assignment
We seek dedicated, experienced, caring dog & house-sitter(s). Quiet, non-smoking, clean, own a car. No families/kids/other pets allowed, apartment is for max 1 person/couple.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
Care for our female 5 year old dog, 2-3 hours walking per day. Water our plants 1-2x week. Keep our home clean & tidy. Respect house rules.
What are the good features of the property and location
Sunny, quiet, loggia terrace, courtyard-garden/fountain, mountain views, free parking & laundry, 5min walk to beaches, Acona old town, 10min bus to Locarno city/train, lake, high alps, forests.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
You must be experienced with mid-size dogs (21kg+), can handle sensitive, active shepherd dogs and follow gentle, "safe" routines. Never off leash outside. Never leave dog alone at home more than 4 hours.

Don’t miss this chance
Already before our arrival in Ascona, the communication with Madelon and Naomi was great! We were well informed and well prepared and were happy to finally meet them and Jumi for a great lunch and a bit of time together. Naomi and Maddy easily inspired trust, as they are very friendly, funny, and open minded. We easily felt at home. Getting to know Jumi was a beautiful, sometimes challenging, but rewarding process! She is a bit afraid of men, and has her own quirks, but patience and love gets you anywhere. It’s super fun to go outside with her for a hike or play in the park/at the beach. It’s important to listen to her needs and communicate clearly with her, and respect her rhythm and habits. Jumi has a rich personality, she will certainly make you laugh, and she has endless cuddles to give and receive. We miss her a lot :) In short, we had a really good time! During our stay, Madelon and Naomi could easily be reached for questions or silly photo-exchanges. Oh, and let’s not forget: their appartment in Ascona is clean, spacious, comfortable, and has a lovely downstairs neighbour. It is very well-situated, and the area of Ascona is incredibly beautiful with many many options to spend your time relaxing or adventuring. (Don’t miss the chance to take Jumi to the beach, and try the Swiss Zweiffel lentil chips!)

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour chez Madelon et Naomi. Elles nous ont très bien accueillies et expliquées comment s'y prendre avec Yumi. Yumi est une chienne adorable, gentille, obéissante et très attachante avec laquelle nous nous sommes bien promenées. Le moulin est un endroit très agréable avec une magnifique vue sur le lac et de belles balades aux environs. Un grand merci à Madelon et Naomi pour leur accueil et leur confiance.

Pour la seconde fois nous avons postulé pour cette garde de Yumi une chienne adorable, sage,obéissante, une chienne dont on rêverait d"en avoir une.Madelon et Naomi nous ont fait une totale confiance, elles nous ont conseillé des ballades dans des endroits magnifiques sur place à Ascona mais aussi autour du Lac Majeur en Suisse mais aussi en Italie. Mieux qu'avec une agence de voyage.Yumi connaissait ces lieux, elle nous devançait durant les promenades. L'endroit est paradisiaque et les conditions d'accueil confortables.Le séjour s'est terminé par un apéritif dînatoire préparé par nos hôtesses ce qui nous a permis de mieux faire connaissance ,une véritable amitié est née. Nous recommandons cette garde à 100%.
