About this assignment

I’m looking for a responsible, kind, and tidy person (or couple) who loves cats and enjoys quiet time at home. Ideally someone who appreciates a cozy space and treats it with care.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Your main responsibility will be to care for my 7-month-old kittens — feeding them, playing with them, keeping the litter clean, and giving them company.
They love spending time in the garden, but you’ll need to keep an eye on them, as both are very curious and can try to sneak out through the gate.
There’s also a friendly street cat named Greta who sometimes visits the garden, so it’s important to be around to make sure everything stays calm and safe.
Please also water the plants and keep the apartment tidy.
I have a trusted cleaning lady who comes 1 time per week and can support with extra cleanning.

What are the good features of the property and location

My apartment is in The Greens, a beautiful, quiet community near Dubai Marina. It’s a walkable area with lakes, tree-lined paths, cafés, and no traffic — perfect for enjoying daily walks.
The apartment is a cozy one-bedroom, one-bathroom home with a spacious living room, kitchen, and a private garden. It’s on the ground floor, so there’s no need for elevators. Peaceful, bright, and ideal for someone who enjoys nature and calm.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Dubai in summer is very hot (around 40°C+), so the main thing to keep in mind is that most daily life happens indoors. The city is extremely well adapted to the heat — apartments, malls, cafés, gyms, co-working spaces and public transport are all air-conditioned, so it’s very comfortable once you’re inside.

During the day, people usually avoid long outdoor activities, but there’s still plenty to do:
• Work remotely or focus on personal projects
• Go to gyms, studios, pools and spas
• Enjoy cafés, restaurants, cinemas and shopping malls
• Take advantage of a quieter city, as many residents travel in summer

Overall, Dubai in August is calm, safe, well-organised and easy to live in, as long as you respect the heat and plan activities around it. It’s a great place for someone independent who enjoys indoor comfort, routine, and a slower, more focused rhythm — while spending time caring for cats at home.

I’ll be away from August 10 to September 10 (dates flexible). Non-smokers, and ideally someone who can stay the full period.
