About this assignment
We’re looking for a clean, responsible house sitter who will fit in well with our professional, family-friendly building. Most importantly, someone kind and attentive to care for our sweet 5-year-old Boston Terrier.
What responsibilities are required of the house sitter
The main responsibility is to care for our dog — feeding and walking her at least three times a day, and giving her a bit of love and attention while we’re away.
What are the good features of the property and location
Our apartment is just two subway stops from Grand Central, offering quick access to Manhattan while enjoying the quieter, modern vibe of Long Island City. We’re a 10-minute walk from a beautiful waterfront park and conveniently close to four subway lines, making it easy to get anywhere in the city.
What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment
Applicants should be comfortable caring for a small dog and maintaining a clean, respectful home environment. Our building is quiet and home to professionals and families, so we’re looking for someone considerate of neighbors. Since our Boston Terrier needs walks three times a day, this assignment is best for someone who’ll be around regularly and enjoys spending time with pets.

Lauren, Nicola, and their daughter created such a warm, trusting environment, and the entire experience felt relaxed and positive from beginning to end. I’m so grateful to have met this lovely family and to have spent time with Betty. I can’t recommend them enough and would happily sit for them again anytime!
