About this assignment

Someone gentle and kind, who likes to sit and be cozy with the animals. No high energy needed here - just looking for mellow, easy-going house sitters! Head's up, this is a no-drinking/no-drugs house.

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Taking our dog, Libby, out into the fenced backyard -- morning, midday and evening, and anytime in between you feel like it! Keeping her and the cat, Cinder, fed and watered. Both just eat dry food, but with some treats in the morning and evening! Cleaning out Cinder's litterbox in the AM.

What are the good features of the property and location

Our historic home (built in 1880!) is clean and cozy. We have hundreds of books, so if you're a reader then this is the place for you! We just moved back to this home recently, and are in the process of landscaping, building out an art studio in the garage, and just getting settled in. Oftentimes we'll have fresh veggies from the farm down the road that you're welcome to while staying here!

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Libby isn't great with other dogs, and so we usually only walk her during the week on quiet trails, or take her down to the river where there aren't other folks about. However, she's quite happy just spending time in the backyard, chasing around balls and sticks and playing with you! Cinder can be quite playful and will swat at your heels if he's in feeling in a mood.

Can I bring my own pets?

No, sorry.
