House/pet owner in the beautiful province of Jaén, Andalucia

About this assignment

We are looking for a reliable animal friendly sitter who will water plants and care for our 12 year old cat Bailey and occasionally our little dog Pipa also 12 years. We mostly take Pipa travelling with us, but occasionally need to leave her at home, so she needs lots of love when we go without her

What responsibilities are required of the house sitter

Watering, dog walking, feeding and spending lots of time and affection with both of our animals. Also keeping the house clean and tidy inside and out

What are the good features of the property and location

Beautiful 2 bed traditional house with cozy rooms and small traditional Spanish windows with inside shutters. Tastefully decorated in traditional style with beams. Downstairs Guest bedroom and shower room.
Both have views over the countryside and mountains beyond. Cozy living room with beams and exposed stone wall. 2 sofas, one is electric recliner sofa. Pellet burner, TV and WiFi. Separate dining room with exposed beams and quirky niche recess. Traditional style kitchen with induction hob, electric oven, Ninja dual air-fryer, toaster, kettle etc. Upstairs to right is our bedroom and bathroom with spa-style bath and to left is the door to outside roof terrace.
Many private spaces, including roof terrace with amazing views over olive groves to the mountains beyond. Beautiful large enclosed terraced area to rear, with above-ground pool and doors to lane. The house is towards edge of small friendly village with a local bar, which opens from 7pm to around 11pm most evenings, occasionally later, if there is a local event or fiesta. Surrounded by countryside and olive groves it is a great area for walking.

1.5hrs to Costa Tropical coast
1.75hrs to Malaga Airport
1.75hrs to Córdoba City
2 -2.5hrs to Seville
10 mins to local town of Alcalá la Real with all facilities you expect in a town.
Traditionally Spanish with rmostly Spanish restaurants and Tapas bars, which serve free tapas with each drink of wine or beer.

What does the house sitter need to consider before applying for this assignment

Own transport needed to reach town approx 12kms away, although there are bars/supermarket/bank in next village approx 3km away Animal lovers only. Only non-smokers please.
